Ok, it isn’t Monday yet but I couldn’t wait to publish this post: Pumpkin Cake w/Cream Cheese filling and Maple Ale Glaze. Isn’t this beautiful! I used a Demarle at Home Sunflower Mold and it turned out amazing. Not only beautiful but it tastes as good as it looks. Do you see the cream cheese??

Oh my goodness! What makes this cake so incredible is a combination of the recipe and the pan. I added an ale to the batter of this cake and to the glaze. The tangy flavor of the Ale was a perfect compliment to the sweetness of the brown sugar in the cake. A layer of cream cheese not only looks beautiful but adds a creaminess to the cake.
